Description and Features:
Gack-Apps’ Hangman provides a new twist on an old, yet ever popular game! Most other Palm ™ handheld versions of this game provide a database of only single word entries to test your wits against. Gack-Apps’ Hangman comes with an original database of 400 words and phrases! That’s right…phrases as well. Our version features such entries as: (Movie) “For Whom the Bell Tolls”, not only single word entries such as: (Thing) “Automobile”. As an added bonus, future versions will allow for installing expansion/additional databases once you tire of the original 400.

Features include:
Two playing modes: Single player where you progress through the included database of words/phrases. Two player where you create your OWN word or phrase from our built in editor then hand the device off to your opponent to see if he/she can solve.

In single player mode the game also records your statistics so you can easily check your % won and see the number of times you’ve been hung! Support has been added for multiple users as well. Each player adds his/her name and the game records your stats individually, allowing you to compare your success against other players!


Select your playing preference here, eithr single player or two player mode.	In Single Player mode, each player must first enter their names, as the game will track your individual progress!

Supported are multi-word phrases, up to 4 lines long at 15 character per line!	As you tap the letters at the top to make guesses, they will disappear to prevent accidentally retapping already guessed letters.

In the event you are HUNG, a SOLVE button will appear that when tapped, fills in the complete phrase/word!	Many features available via the menu bars, like Player Stats (single player), deleting players, and entering your Reg. Code!

In 2 Player mode you compose the phrase/word for your opponent to guess! Match your witts against theirs!	Player stats are shown including: Total games, Wins, Losses, and Win %! Allows for comparison to other users progress.

General Notes:
Palm OS 5.0 COMPATIBLE! This application is in its initial public release state. It has been tested on Visor Prism and POSE (Palm OS Emulator) both running Palm OS v 3.0, 3.5 and 4.1 and runs w/o any noticeable bugs as of yet. The author makes no guarantee that this application will be backward compatible beyond v3.5 Palm OS however, obviously this application should be just fine with later/new versions of Palm OS. Try it before you buy it!

Gack's Hangman was written with the color Palm device in mind. However, the graphics used tested fine on my b/w POSE, just obviously not as visually appealing as on the color screens. Graphics are almost as nice on grey scale screens as they are on the COLOR one!

None yet, in original version at this time! Future versions will allow for installing additional Phrase Databases!

Installation Notes:
To install Gack's Hangman, one should simply only need to extract the archive of choice to an empty folder. Once extracted, you will notice 3 files with extension .txt (Readme.txt, License.txt and Register.txt) these are the applications documentations and should be read over at least once.

With this release, we've also include instructions for usage in PDF format. Acrobat Reader is available for free from their website, if you don't already have it installed on your pc. The SINGLE Palm file in this folder will be that installer. Double click this file to install on your next HotSycn(tm), or install using a different technique you are most familiar with. Once on the device, merely tap the Installer Icon to complete the installation/extraction of the application files onto the device.

This installer will delete itself once installation is complete. If during the installation, it should happen to stop and alert you that other files ALREADY exist on the device and ask you what to do...here is what WE recommend you do to ensure functionality of this app. If given a version number...ALWAYS overwrite the existing file with that in this installer if the existing files version number is EQUAL to or LESS than the one in this installation.

Obviously, if this installer attempts to installer a file with a version number less than an existing file you should NOT allow it, but should tap CANCEL for this file. If no version # is given, then generally you will want to overwrite here as well.
